The Original Aussi Cumquat Experience-
as presented by Rob McC. in Venasque 2014:

From your garden, pick 12-15 ripe cumquat fruits, puncture them thoroughly and put them in a 1 liter jar. Fill up with sugar to cover the fruits. Then fill the jar with brandy, seal the jar well and let it rest for a week. Then turn the jar upside down and let rest for another week. Repeat this until all the sugar is dissolved. Then fill the liqueur on bottles and leave it for a year or two. Serve it cool. Enjoy!
